Don't be put off by the use of tomato sauce in this recipe. The flavors balance perfectly. This is my absolute favorite way to make grilled shrimp. I skewer smaller shrimp but if I am using jumbo shrimp I just toss them on the grill. Oven directions are included at the bottom for those without a grill.

Instructions
  1. Stir garlic, olive oil, tomato sauce, and red wine vinegar in a large bowl. Add basil, salt, and chili garlic sauce, stir well to combine. Add shrimp to the bowl and stir until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  2. Thread shrimp onto skewers if desired. Discard marinade.
  3. Pre-heat grill on medium heat. Lightly oil BBQ grates. Cook shrimp 3 to 4 minutes per side or until pink and firm and slightly curled. Do not over cook.
Recipe Notes

If no BBQ grill is available these may be done in the oven on a lined baking sheet.   Preheat oven to 400°  Lightly oil the lined baking sheet with olive oil.  Place shrimp on baking sheet, space apart so they are not touching.  Roast shrimp for about 8-10 minutes until pink and firm.
