When corn is in season there are a lot of recipes that have you removing the corn kernels from the cob. Put those corn cobs to work and make corn stock. It adds a great corny flavor to soup and stews and can be used in place of chicken stock in many recipes.

Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Cool and strain solids. Stock may be frozen if desired.

This may be made in a slow cooker, low over night or 6 hours on high.
